FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Long Island’s Mike Catapano will get the call Sunday if Jordan Jenkins still is unable to play, defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers said Thursday.

Jenkins, who did not practice, suffered a calf strain Aug. 22 during an 11-on-11, and though the injury is not believed to be serious, Todd Bowles acknowledged there’s a chance the outside linebacker will be a no-go against the Bengals. Bowles has not ruled him out.

If Jenkins can’t play, that means Catapano, a Bayville native who played for Chaminade, will earn his first NFL start in his fourth season in the league.
