Leonard Williams urges 'patience' with Jets, Todd Bowles, Mike Maccagnan

By now, it's been a much-written line: The Jets are 3-5 for the third straight year.

So naturally, this disappointing season's halfway point has kicked up hot-seat chatter and heaped additional pressure on head coach Todd Bowles and general manager Mike Maccagnan.

But defensive end Leonard Williams wants fans and spectators to pump the brakes.

If there's one big thing he's learned over this three-plus seasons, it's that the NFL can get a bit trigger happy. That's exactly what Williams doesn't want for the Jets.

"I think just patience is big," Williams said.
