According to Rich Cimini, the NFL has suspended Jets WR Jeremy Kerley for an undisclosed violation.
The news was first reported by the New York Daily News.
Kerley, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jets back in 2011. He spent five years in New York before he was released back in March of last year and later signed to a one-year contract worth over $1 million by the Lions.
Detroit elected to trade Kerley to the 49ers in exchange for OL Brandon Thomas coming out of the preseason in 2016.
