Jets without Mo Wilkerson, Brian Winters at Thursday's practice | Injury report

FLORHAM PARK -- The Jets aren't in the best shape heading into Sunday's home opener against the division-rival Dolphins.

Starting defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (shoulder) and guard Brian Winters (groin) were among those held out of practice on Thursday. While both insisted they were fine earlier in the week, the Jets held both out of team drills for the second straight day.

Coach Todd Bowles wouldn't go into details on either player, or rule them out for Sunday. He said it's too early for that.

It's unclear specifically Wilkerson injured his shoulder.
