Jets' Top Picks Going Back 5 Years at a Time

The 2015 NFL Draft draws ever closer, but there's still enough time to stroll down a draft-y memory lane and reflect briefly on selection meetings five years apart from the very first AFL draft in 1960 (actually '59). Selected in these 11 drafts, among many others, were one Super Bowl MVP, two other Ring of Honor members-to-be, and the four aces of 2000.

1960 — The original AFL draft was a grab bag of first-round "territorial" picks, plus 53 more rounds on two separate days (Nov. 22, Dec. 2, 1959). The then Titans of New York got only a handful of players from their 52 selections these days who played for the franchise, but one was a keeper — Ole Miss LB Larry Grantham, who went on to 13 seasons and 175 starts, all with the Titans/Jets, five AFL All-Star designations, and ultimately selection for the Ring of Honor in 2011.
