Jets take flier on fumbling WR Giants will always love

The Jets added a Giants fan favorite Friday by signing former 49ers wide receiver Kyle Williams.

Williams, who has not played in the NFL since 2013, will forever be known to Giants fans for fumbling two punts against them in San Francisco in the 2011 NFC Championship Game that paved the way for a Big Blue win in that game and, ultimately, their second Super Bowl crown since 2007.

The Jets released wide receiver Quenton Bundrage to make room for Williams, who impressed them as a tryout player in their minicamp this week.

Williams, a sixth-round pick by the Niners in 2010, caught 47 passes for 574 yards and four TDs in four seasons.
