The New York Jets may have been eliminated from postseason play this weekend, but the strong play of star rookie cornerback, Sauce Gardner, was yet again on display.
In Sunday’s Week 17 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, Gardner had a must-see matchup with D.K. Metcalf. The two are as physically gifted at their respective positions as it gets, playing physical, strong brands of ball on the outside while also possessing special athleticism at their enormous size.
In just his 16th NFL game for the Jets, in a prime matchup with Metcalf, Gardner delivered, and at an extraordinary level, further establishing his status as one of the league’s best shutdown corners.
