Andre Roberts’ 78-yard punt return was that sensational, a blinding dash paired with a tightrope walk that wrapped a splendid bow around an already remarkable night for the Jets.

“He got us field position a bunch of times,” coach Todd Bowles said of Roberts, who made the team specifically because of his nine-year experience returning punts, a bugaboo issue for the Jets recently.
