The New York Jets wanted to beat Bill Belichick in his final game as Patriots head coach and running back Breece Hall put the team on his back and got them there. Hall would run for 178 yards on 37 carries. Clearly trying to get Hall to the 1,000 yard mark on the season, the big back came up six yards short as he finished with 994.
Hall’s 50-yard TD run in the fourth quarter was the lone touchdown on the day for either team and put the Jets up 17-3.
It was a battle of field position for much of the day as snow fell throughout and conditions became increasingly difficult for players to find their footing.
