Jets snag kick returner off waivers from Giants

The Jets claimed KR/WR Quadree Henderson off waivers Friday from the Giants.

In five games with the Giants, Henderson returned nine punts and averaged 7.6 yards per return and five kickoffs for an average of 22.4.

Henderson will be a candidate to replace Andre Roberts as the Jets’ kick returner.

Roberts, an All-Pro last year, signed with the Bills in free agency. Jets coach Adam Gase recently said “good question” when asked who his kick returner was.
