Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Jets are signing veteran DE David Bass to a contract on Thursday.
- Brian Costello confirms the news and adds that the Jets are also waiving OLB Freddie Bishop.
Bass, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Raiders back in 2013. He, unfortunately, lasted just a few months in Oakland before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Bears.
Bass was on and off of the Bears roster for the next year before he was once again cut loose coming out of the preseason and later claimed off of waivers by the Titans.
