The New York Jets signed wide receiver Quinton Patton on Thursday, the team announced.
He will be reunited with his former 49ers position coach, John Morton, who is now the Jets' offensive coordinator.
The deal had been in the works since Patton visited the Jets last Saturday.
Patton, 26, started 14 games for San Francisco in 2016, finishing with 37 receptions for 408 yards -- career highs in both categories.
