Jets Sign Two Players

The New York Jets announced a few roster moves today.

The Jets have signed two tryout players from the weekend’s rookie minicamp, quarterback Jake Heaps and fullback J.C. Copeland. To make room on the 90-man roster, we have released two undrafted free agents signed right after the draft, cornerback Greg Henderson and safety Demarkus Perkins.

Matt Simms is a fan favorite but his road to making the roster in 2015 just got even more crowded. Earlier this offseaon the Jets traded for Ryan Fitzpatrick who will compete with Geno Smith. Bryce Petty from Baylor became the favorite to land the 3rd QB job when the Jets drafted him in the 4th round.
