Jets sign AAF star quarterback Brandon Silvers

The Jets have signed a former Memphis Express quarterback … no, not that one.

Gang Green signed Brandon Silvers, who threw for 777 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in three starts for the Express in the AAF. Silvers got the chance to play in Memphis after Christian Hackenberg, the Jets’ 2016 second-round pick, was benched.

Silvers played at Troy in college and threw for 10,677 yards, 71 touchdowns and 29 interceptions.

The Jets now have four quarterbacks on the roster: Sam Darnold, Trevor Siemian, Davis Webb and Silvers.
