FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Jets have signed nine players to reserve/future contracts, including guard Jarvis Harrison and defensive tackle Deon Simon, both draft picks from last year.
Wide receiver Joe Anderson, who made headlines by standing outside Houston’s stadium with a sign looking for an NFL job, was also among those signed Tuesday. Anderson ended the season on New York’s practice squad, as did the other players signed to reserve/future deals.
Harrison was a fifth-round draft pick, while Simon was a seventh-rounder.
Also signed were linebacker Deion Barnes, tight end Brandon Bostick, linebacker Julian Howsare, tight end Wes Saxton, cornerback Kevin Short and linebacker Julian Stanford.
