RICHMOND, Va. — The Jets and quarterback Sam Darnold finished up their third and final joint practice with Washington on Tuesday. It was the Jets' 13th practice of training camp — and their final one before their second preseason game, Thursday night at Washington, where Darnold will likely start. But first, let's bring you some Darnold takeaways from Tuesday's action.

Darnold's best drive came at the end of practice, when he was going against Washington's starting defense in a hurry-up, move-the-ball period. Darnold, in six reps, completed 5 of 6 passes, including a pretty, well-timed 20-yard touchdown pass down the seam to Clive Walford.
