But there are some basic ingredients to winning on a consistent basis and they include the need for a productive running game. The first indication of whether the Jets have one will come in Sunday’s opener against the Bengals at MetLife Stadium.
“That’s a priority for us,” said wide receiver Eric Decker. “If we’re able to run the ball, establish that part of the game and make them come up and defend it, it gives us more one-on-one matchups and allows us to take some chances down the field.
