DETROIT — There was little reaction among the Jets players to former coach Rex Ryan bringing IK Enemkpali to Buffalo one day after the Jets waived him.
“Rex is Rex,” guard Willie Colon said. “We weren’t surprised.”
The Jets waived Enemkpali on Tuesday after he punched quarterback Geno Smith in the locker room, breaking Smith’s jaw. Ryan and the Bills picked him up Wednesday, a tweak of the Jets by Ryan. But Jets coach Todd Bowles said he had no reaction to the move and the players were unfazed.
“He drafted him so there wasn’t really a reaction,” defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson said.
