Jets put up fight as Patriots’ dominance continues

Modal Trigger

Julian Edelman dives for a touchdown against the Jets.

Well, at least this Jets loss was not as bad as the last one. That’s progress.

The Patriots beat the Jets for the fifth straight time, topping them 27-13 at MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

It was nowhere near as ugly as the 41-10 beatdown the Jets suffered two weeks ago to the Bills before their bye week, but there are no moral victories in the NFL. It was the Jets’ fifth straight loss and they are now 3-8, guaranteeing a non-winning season for the third straight year under coach Todd Bowles and the seventh time in eight years for the franchise.
