Jets provide ominous new update on Braelon Allen's knee injury

The New York Jets are bracing to be without running back Braelon Allen for the foreseeable future after the second-year standout suffered a knee injury in the team's Week 4 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported after the game that Allen had suffered an MCL sprain and was expected to be placed on the injured reserve, sidelining him for a minimum of four games.

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn was asked to provide an update on Allen's status when speaking to reporters on Wednesday, and while he insisted the team hasn't decided any plans yet, his words of choice were certainly ominous.
