Jets Place QB Bryce Petty on Injured Reserve

The Jets announced Monday that they have placed QB Bryce Petty on injured reserve and the club has claimed OLB Corey Lemonier off waivers from Detroit.

Petty suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder Saturday against the Patriots while tackling CB Malcolm Butler following a second-quarter turnover. Petty made four starts this season and appeared in five contests, completing 56.4% of his passes for 809 yards with 3 TDs and 7 INTs.

Following the Jets’ loss to the Colts in Week 13, head coach Todd Bowles announced that Petty — barring injury — would start the team’s final four games.
