In one of the final 11-on-11 team drills, quarterback Sam Darnold connected with receiver Quincy Enunwa to his left and cornerback Trumaine Johnson and safety Jamal Adams collided on the play, leaving the wide-open Enunwa to score on a 25-yard TD. Afterward, Enunwa said that was called a “mesh’’ play and it is designed to confuse the secondary with hopes of causing a collision. Adams was slow to get up, but was OK and carried on.
