Jets insist they’re past their humiliation in time for Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jets have had five days to lick their wounds after getting their butts kicked by the Patriots on Monday night. Now, we get to see how they respond.

The 1-5 Jets face the 3-4 Jaguars at TIAA Bank Field on Sunday with major questions surrounding their coach and quarterback. Adam Gase’s first year with the team has not gotten off to the start he hoped for, and Sam Darnold crashed Monday against a ferocious Patriots defense, turning the ball over five times.

“If you were involved in that game on our side, it was embarrassing,” Gase said.
