Jets hire former Broncos Super Bowl champ as assistant O-line coach

New York Jets coach Todd Bowles has filled three positions on his staff, promoting one coach from within the organization and hiring two others from the outside.

The biggest name is David Diaz-Infante, the new assistant offensive line coach. As a player, he won two Super Bowl rings with the Denver Broncos. That happened in 1997 and 1998, when he blocked for John Elway during the legendary quarterback's last rodeo. Diaz-Infante got to know Bowles while working in the same position for the Arizona Cardinals in 2013-14. He replaces Ron Heller, who was fired at the end of the season.
