Jets get some relief with Le’Veon Bell’s MRI results

At least the Jets don’t have to worry about a significant injury to their star running back. Quarterback Sam Darnold may be out a while after being diagnosed with mononucleosis, but at least Le’Veon Bell won’t be joining him away from the team.

The Jets did get a scare from their big offseason addition, though. He was held out of practice Thursday with a sore shoulder and underwent an MRI exam. But a source confirmed there was no major damage or tears, as coach Adam Gase thought would be the case.

Bell was busy in his first game since the 2017 postseason, rushing 17 times for 60 yards and catching six passes for 32 yards and a touchdown in the Jets’ 17-16 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
