As expected, Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb on Friday.
Fitzpatrick, who suffered the injury two weeks ago in Oakland, is still expected to play vs. the Houston Texans on Nov. 22, head coach Todd Bowles said.
Bowles also announced that running back Zac Stacy is out for the season after having surgery Friday morning for the fractured ankle he suffered in Thursday night's loss to Rex Ryan and the Bills, 22-17.
Fitzpatrick, the journeyman QB in his first season with the Jets, will likely miss some practice time after Friday's surgery on his non-throwing hand.
