The Jets have moved to the next phase of their coaching search.
Jets brass are meeting with Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy on Wednesday, The Post’s Brian Costello confirmed. Bieniemy will also interview with the Buccaneers on Wednesday and Dolphins on Thursday, according to MMQB.com.
This is Bieniemy’s first year as Chiefs offensive coordinator after taking over for now-Bears coach Matt Nagy. Bieniemy oversaw the NFL’s highest-scoring offense led by Patrick Mahomes. He previously spent five years as the running backs coach in Kansas City under Andy Reid.
The Jets have also expressed interest in former Packers coach Mike McCarthy, Buccaneers offensive coordinator Todd Monken, Cowboys passing game coordinator/DBs coach Kris Richard and recently fired Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury.
