Jets finally say what fans have been begging to hear about Mason Taylor

The New York Jets have an offense that is starved for playmakers. Beyond Garrett Wilson — and Breece Hall on his best days — there’s very little in the way of explosiveness or true difference-making ability.

That's partially why the team decided to use a second-round pick in this year's draft to select LSU tight end Mason Taylor. The Jets had high expectations for Taylor entering the 2025 season, even given the typical rookie growing pains associated with the tight end position.

Taylor has played a significant role in the Jets' offense over the first three weeks of the season, but the rookie tight end has just six catches and 43 yards to show for it.
