Aaron Rodgers didn’t need a reminder of how things ended in New York, but he got one anyway. The former Jets quarterback was greeted by a chorus of boos the moment he stepped onto the MetLife Stadium field in his Steelers uniform on Sunday.
The reaction wasn’t exactly surprising. Rodgers left behind plenty of frustration over his two years in Florham Park, and fans wasted no time making sure he heard it as he took the field for his first drive.
From his weekly antics on The Pat McAfee Show to bizarre headlines about a possible vice-presidential run, and ultimately the fractured relationship with the Jets that led to his release, Rodgers gave fans plenty of reasons to turn on him long before his Steelers debut.
