Jets fans at ‘Thursday Night Football’ set remain hopeful for future

It has been another trying season for the Jets and their fans, yet you could still spot some hearty Gang Green supporters around Fox’s outdoor “Thursday Night Football” set in Midtown.

Temperatures in the mid-30s did not stop Jets fan Bob Wild, visiting with his family from Orlando, Fla., from remaining cautiously optimistic for the future as he viewed the Jets-Ravens game.

“I think with the young quarterback [Sam Darnold] and a young team, they have a shot at getting better the next couple of seasons,” Wild said.

He and fellow Jets fans mixed with others wearing gear from the Ravens, Giants and other teams in a festive atmosphere while watching pregame hosts Michael Strahan, Tony Gonzalez and a jacketless Reggie Bush.
