Jets exploring long-awaited fix for team’s most glaring roster hole

The New York Jets might have the worst defensive end depth in the entire NFL. The team's pass-rush has struggled mightily with Jermaine Johnson sidelined, due in large part to the fact that three of their four active edge rushers likely wouldn't be on the majority of the 53-man rosters around the league.

The Jets' inability to properly address their defensive end depth this offseason has been a major hindrance to the performance of the defense through four weeks. But at long last, it appears the Jets are finally looking to bolster their depth chart.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Friday that former San Francisco 49ers second-round pick Drake Jackson is set to visit with the Jets — as well as the Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens — within the coming days.
