Jets end ugly season with sloppy win over resting Bills

ORCHARD PARK — It was only fitting the Jets played an ugly game to end an ugly season.

Gang Green won a sloppy 13-6 game over a junior varsity version of the Bills on a rainy day at New Era Field.

The game was a bore, with neither team moving the ball for most of the game. The Bills, whose playoff seed was secured before the game, rested most of their starters. Starting quarterback Josh Allen played two series before being replaced by Matt Barkley.

The Jets struggled offensively, even against the Bills’ bare-bones defense. They did not reach the end zone until early in the fourth quarter when Sam Darnold connected with Jamison Crowder for a 1-yard touchdown.
