Jets draft flop Jachai Polite gets surprising Seahawks review

So far, Jachai Polite isn’t giving the Seahawks the same fits that led to the Jets cutting him just months into his professional career.

“He’s been quiet. He’s been focused. I’ve got no problems. He’s been good so far,” Seattle defensive line coach Clint Hurtt told reporters.

Polite signed with the Seahawks practice squad after the Jets axed the talented third-round pick in August.

He was fined $100,000 by the Jets for violating various team rules throughout training camp, and failed to crack the 53-man roster. Polite’s off-the-field concerns are nothing new — the Florida product was projected to go in the first round of April’s NFL draft before his stock plummeted after the NFL combine.
