The Jets cut 12 players, including five wide receivers, as they trimmed their roster ahead of Tuesday’s deadline when rosters must be down to 75 (Aug. 30).
The Jets need to cut three more players before Tuesday; rosters must be down to 53 by next Sunday before the regular season begins.

DeVier Posey was a known commodity to Mike Maccagnan from their time together in Houston.
