The NY Jets are counting on Justin Fields to lead them as the starting quarterback in 2025, while veteran Tyrod Taylor watches in the wings. It took all of two days in training camp for things to already go off the rails in a fairly major fashion.
Fields suffered a right toe injury that will not be severe enough to sideline him for most of the season, but could put a damper on his play in the preseason. Luckily for the Jets, they were able to keep it together thanks to their experienced backup.
Taylor stepped in, and his veteran moxie helped calm down a young team that was anxious at the thought of losing someone who is so integral to their success.
