After reviewing the Jets undrafted free agent signings immediately following April’s draft, we said we believed Purdue offensive lineman Gus Hartwig had a chance to make the team’s practice squad. Now it appears Dan Leberfeld of Jets Confidential agrees.
In a blurb posted to his x account, Leberfeld listed Harwig’s size, football IQ and leadership as qualities that will help him hang around and at least make the practice squad.
“Hartwig has a lot going for him, but just needs to get a little stronger to deal with powerful NFL defensive tackles, so he doesn’t get bull-rushed.
