The Patriots let them go, and the Jets scooped them up.
The Jets on Tuesday claimed two undrafted rookies, receiver Xavier Ubosi and offensive tackle Calvin Anderson. Both players were waived recently by New England.
Ubosi, a 6-foot-3 target, had 48 receptions for 1,065 yards and nine touchdowns in 20 games at Alabama-Birmingham.
Anderson started his college career at Rice before transferring to Texas last season. He was a three-year starter at left tackle at Rice and started 14 games in 2018 at left tackle at Texas, where he was All-Big 12 honorable mention.
To make room on the roster, the Jets cut receiver DeAngelo Yancey and tackle Dieugot Joseph.
