Jets’ C.J. Mosley not expecting groin to completely heal

Tape doesn’t lie, and neither did C.J. Mosley.

Mosley admitted what was obvious to the naked eye during the Jets’ 33-0 loss to the Patriots on Monday: He was playing through a groin injury, which appeared to limit his top speed and change of direction.

It was a surprise to head coach Adam Gase, who didn’t think the Jets were rushing their star linebacker back.

“Going into the game, I would’ve said no. From what we saw, he looked good,” Gase said. “That’s why we are going to keep looking at this, and keep a close eye on him, and keep in communication with him, and just try to figure out what we need to do to where he feels like he did going into that first game.
