PHOENIX — The Jets may want to throw a retirement party for Rob Gronkowski.
The Patriots tight end tortured Gang Green through the years, scoring nine touchdowns against them. The only team he scored more against was the Bills (12). So Jets fans will be happy to see Gronkowski in a wrestling ring or on a movie screen rather than spiking the ball against the Jets.
Jets CEO Christopher Johnson delivered a classy message when asked about Gronkowski at the Annual League Meeting here Sunday.
“Look it, it’s obviously good news for the Jets because he’s an amazing player,” Johnson said.
