The Jets have begun their search for a new backup quarterback.
With Josh McCown undecided about his future, the Jets are looking for someone else to back up Sam Darnold. Trevor Siemian will visit the Jets on Wednesday, according to a source.
Siemian spent last year as Kirk Cousins’ backup with the Vikings. The 27-year-old spent the first three years of his career with the Broncos, who drafted him in the seventh round in 2015. Siemian started 14 games for the Broncos in 2016 and 10 games in 2017.
Siemian has thrown for 5,686 yards in his career, completing 59.
