The Jets have signed linebacker David Bass and have waived linebacker Freddie Bishop.

Bass, released by Seattle on Tuesday, becomes the second Seahawk this month to join the Jets, following WR Jermaine Kearse's arrival in the Sept. 1 trade with the Seahawks.

Bass, listed as a 6'4", 267-pound DE in the 'Hawks' 4-3 defense, was a seventh-round pick (No. 233 overall) by Oakland in the 2013 NFL Draft. He was a final cut by the Raiders that year, then played two seasons with Chicago and two with Tennessee before moving to Seattle as an unrestricted free agent in May.
