Jets activate Eli McGuire, Rontez Miles | What it means for backfield, special teams

The Jets on Friday activated running back Eli McGuire (foot) from injured reserve and safety Rontez Miles (knee) from the physically unable to perform list.

McGuire and Miles provide reinforcements for Sunday's game at the Dolphins. Neither has played yet this season. The Jets waived running back De'Angelo Henderson and safety Ibraheim Campbell to make room for McGuire and Miles on the roster.

McGuire will provide more of an immediate boost than Miles. The Jets, last week in Chicago, were down to Isaiah Crowell and rookie Trenton Cannon in their backfield, because of Bilal Powell's season-ending neck injury.
