Just moments before the NFL’s trade deadline, the Jets acquired CB Rashard Robinson from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for the club’s 2018 fifth-round pick.
The 6’1”, 177-pound Robinson, an LSU product who was a fourth-round selection San Francisco in 2016, started seven games this season and collected an interception along with seven pass defenses. Appearing in 14 games his rookie season, Robinson started six contests and had an interception along with eight pass defenses.
“I think he fits any defense. He’s a ball player, so he can adjust, he can adapt,” said WR Jeremy Kerley, who was a teammate of Robinson’s in ‘Frisco last season.
