Jason Peters wants to play into his 40s; New York Jets linger as possibility

“If Tom Brady can play into his 40s, I can play into my 40s; I feel great.”

Those are the words of former Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters, via Mike Garofolo of NFL Network.

Peters, 38, is a two-time First-Team All-Pro and nine-time Pro Bowl tackle who’s protected the blindside of Eagles quarterbacks for 11 seasons.

The 6-foot-4, 328-pound Peters was originally an undrafted free agent signed by the Buffalo Bills after the 2004 NFL draft. (That’s right, he was in the league prior to NFL 2K5’s release.)

The New York Jets have been long-rumored to have interest in Peters.
