Jamal Adams blasted the NFL for fining him for a late hit on Baker Mayfield during the Jets’ 23-3 loss to the Browns on Monday night at MetLife Stadium.
Adams was called for roughing the passer on the play, which came on a third-and-8 from midfield on Cleveland’s second possession of the game. The Browns got a field goal to go up 6-0 after the penalty.
“This league is a damn joke!” the outspoken safety tweeted on Tuesday night. “I just got fined $21k for this hit, I signed up to play football not two hand touch.
