The New York Jets do not have a rich history at many positions on the football field.
Center is one of the few where they do.
From 1998 to 2016, the Jets only had two primary starting centers: Kevin Mawae and Nick Mangold. The pair combined for 13 Pro Bowl appearances across a 19-season run in the middle of New York’s offensive line.
Don’t forget about Joe Fields, who made three All-Pro appearances across 13 seasons with the Jets (1975-88).
Following Mangold’s retirement after the 2016 season, the Jets underwent a rough patch at center.
