The Eagles have signed free agent wide receiver Chris Givens to a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.
Givens, 26, visited the Jets on Tuesday before signing with the Eagles on Wednesday afternoon.
At 5-foot-11, 198 pounds, Givens ran a 4.41 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine prior to the 2012 draft and has experience as a kickoff returner as well as a wide receiver.
Givens' ability to contribute as a kick returner could be an asset to first-year head coach Doug Pederson and provide competition for Josh Huff on special teams.
