Free-agent linebacker Brandon Copeland, 32, retires from NFL

Brandon Copeland, who played for six teams across 10 seasons in the NFL, is retiring, he told ESPN on Monday.

The 32-year-old free agent linebacker went undrafted out of Penn in 2013. After stints on the practice squads of the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans in 2013 and '14, he made the 53-man roster of the Detroit Lions in 2015, and played there until 2017.

Copeland then played two years with the New York Jets and then a year each with the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons.
