Former New York Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson was arrested in New Jersey this week for driving while intoxicated. Wilkerson was also charged with possessions of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Mike Garofolo of NFL Network first reported his arrest.
Wilkerson was previously charged with DWI in Manhattan back in June and pleaded guilty three months later. He was penalized with a $500 fine.
Wilkerson is represented by attorney Joshua F. McMahon of Schiller McMahon LLC. McMahon released a statement on behalf of his client on Wednesday afternoon.
“None of the allegations against my client are criminal in nature-instead, all of the allegations are for traffic and disorderly offenses only,” McMahon says.
