Former New York Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson has been arrested and charged with DUI, according to the Associated Press.
Wilkerson, 29, was arrested on Saturday night and eventually arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court and released on his own recognizance, a police spokesman said.
The potential reason for the traffic stop was due to Wilkerson ignoring a stop sign. He is also being charged with driving while ability-impaired.
The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Temple product once represented the Jets franchise player. Chosen 30th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, Mo tallied 44.
